ZENMED™ Derma Cleanse® Acne product
ZENMED™ Derma Cleanse® Acne product
While Acne is still viewed by many as an uncomplicated skin disease, the psychological and physical effects of Acne are far from uncomplicated and therefore often documented in the psychiatric community.
We have compiled a list of the 10 most common skin complaints we hear from our customers. ZENMED™ has created a specific Derma Cleanse® product to uniquely target each problem individually, but as with anything, successful treatment requires consistency, patience, and the simple belief "I deserve the skin I want".
You are a candidate for treatment if you suffer from:
Whiteheads - The white color is caused by the presence of pus that has formed in result to the body fighting off causative bacteria. The pus will eventually come out, hence the term "popping pimple". Pimples should never be manually popped as this leaves an opening to the skin where now additional bacteria can enter and often lead to scarring. Whiteheads can be persistent and embarrassing and yet easily treatable.
Large, painful pimples - Due to the sebaceous gland being fully clogged at the tip leading to the surface of the skin. The gland underneath the skin is slowly becoming infected and hence causing the pain. These type of skin pimples can grow to become cysts and leave pock marks if not treated quickly enough.
Pimples concentrated to a single area - Some areas of the skin become prone to recurring breakouts (ie. Cheeks or chin) as the pores have undergone a permanent change to their structure (ie. Scarring, overuse of products, increased size). Sometimes you see the same "patch" of acne occurring over and over again. The key is to slow down the pore activity and localize treatment with concentrated BHA acid.
Bumpy, uneven skin - Occurs after breakouts have already subsided, may be build ups of excess collagen or scar tissue under the surface of the skin. Can also be acne that has not matured to the point where it has manifested itself as a pimple. Preventative therapy with consistent BHA acid use is proven to prevent the acne from forming.
Raw, red, sensitive skin - Usually caused by environmental intolerances, such as overuse of acne medications, reactions to sun, allergies, and overhandling. A reddening reaction is usually the body telling you that something is not being tolerated and should be minimized or exposure stopped.
Rosacea - Very often intermingled with acne as this condition often manifests itself with red bumps and whiteheads. Highly undiagnosed, can be related to fungal infections and vascular problems. Most over-the-counter medications are too harsh for this condition, hence gentle, herbal products offer the best relief.
Combination skin - Usually the result of underactive or overactive oil glands, sometimes exaggerated by hormonal fluctuations, often resulting in greasy areas in the "T-zone" and dry, flaky areas in others. Exfoliation with BHA's is usually the best treatment.
Overactive oil glands - Most of the time just a nuisance but under certain circumstances (ie. In the presence of acne causing bacteria) can become a breeding ground of difficult-to-treat acne. Excess oil must be removed gently, not stripped as harsh chemicals often cause a rebound effect of more oil.
Blackheads - Blackheads are not pores clogged with dirt. They are open pores that are not exfoliating properly and are accumulating pigment. Usually occur on the nose area. Need consistent manual or chemical exfoliation.
Larger than normal pores - Causes by accumulation of mainly oil not properly being exfoliated. Can be made to look worse by sun damage, harsh and irritating products, poor grooming, and unfortunately genetics may play a part. BHA's work wonders on slowing oil production down.
